My perfect reading space

Different colored books stacked on top of each other next to a wooden chair.

You get to build your perfect space for reading and writing. What’s it like?

Funny enough, I have a spot in my bedroom to read, and it is very comfortable, as it is an older Victorian type wing backed chair my great grandmother had. It has been passed down generationally and is very important to me. As a matter of fact, it is the central point of this blog and podcast. The one thing I don’t have, unfortunately, is space.

So that is where I would start, is in a spacious room, with some custom bookshelves. Maybe a cozy fireplace, or a heating unit made to look like a built in fireplace. Some throw pillows and a daybed. It would be painted a soft blue and I’d contract with a friend to paint a mural on one wall.

The chair would be by the side of the fireplace to take the chill off if it was cold. A light blanket would be on the side arm. There would be a small table on the opposite side where my tablet is housed for writing on my blog, or for the setup for my podcast.

Thanks for contacting me! I look forward to reading your comment!
