What colleges have you attended?
I have always scored high on math or organizational/ accounting type standardized testing. For those not from the 20th century, we used to have tests each year up until around 8th grade that would point to where you would be best served as far as your knowledge and interests, should you decide to go on to higher learning.
I always thought I would go to school to become a teacher, and I started that journey at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) back in the early 90’s. I fell into credit scheme that banks make so attractive to young adults, and ended up having to quit school. Life happened and I did not go back to school until later.
Believe it or not, once I started my career, I was excelling in accounting/analyst positions. Eventually, I ended up working with a company that offered tuition reimbursement if your degree is related to the position you are in. So, I took them up on the offer. I ended up. Going to Liberty University and did online studies. I ended up attaining my Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Accounting and minoring in Business. I will say, no matter where you go, Online is a BEAR to do, so if you have the time and resources to go in person, I would definitely recommend that. But always remember, that if you want it bad enough, you can do it!
